This is the list of activities that iFund board of 2013/2014 will to provide this year:
Introduction to Finance:These seminars are mainly devoted to explain basic principles of financial valuation. At the beginning we will discuss time value of money and then apply the information learned to value business ideas, stocks, bonds etc. We will provide the information about risk, return and the relationship between them. In the 2’nd semester we hope that we will be able to attract some Y3 students who will provide a more insightful information about pricing different financial derivatives, capital structure of firms, long-term and short term financing techniques that they use.
Technical analysis seminars: Seminars will include basics of technical analysis, candle stick analysis, practical assignment regarding previously mentioned analysis with one on one coaching. Further on, participants will learn how to use Stockcharts.com to screen stocks, how not to choose stocks, what are “pump and dumps” and the safest way how to trade them.
Portfolio management:Screening potential investment possibilities and evaluating them using fundamental and technical analysis.

Possible activities:
Forex trading seminars: The course will give insight in the financial markets, fundamental and technical analysis, psychological aspects of Forex market as well as explain the international inter-banking mechanism and how the market prices are determined. After the theory sessions students will be able to attend the practical part of the course, where theory will be put to use. For the practical part personal laptops will be required to download the trading platform. Attendants will acquire knowledge about trading in the Forex market and get hands-on experience on a demo account.
Investment [Un]limited:Investment [Un]limited is an exclusive competition for the students from the Baltic States. The event gives opportunity to apply the knowledge of Economics and Finance as well as to win cash prizes from a total prize pool of 2500 EUR. The goal of the contest is to stimulate sharing of knowledge between students from different universities and enhance teamwork and presentation skills. Investment [Un]limited challenges contestants in four different rounds. Contestants have to forecast movements of the market, make corporate valuation, manage their portfolio and analyze macroeconomic cases. All tasks will be provided and will have to be completed in 3 weeks period.
